The Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation (JYF) is an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia that operates two public museums: the Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. Work Details
The scope of services includes:
- Design for roof replacements on multiple buildings including:
- Jamestown Settlement Main Building (Education Wing, Visitors Services, Permanent Galleries) - Membrane and metal roofing.
- Maintenance Building - Membrane roofing.
- Shipwright Building - Asphalt shingle roofing.
- Riverfront Amenities Building - Asphalt shingle and shake roofing.
- Emerson Central Support Complex (ECSC) - Membrane roofing.
- Replacement of deteriorated roof decks as needed, insulation, membranes, flashing & edge details, edge protection, drainage components, vapor barriers, cover boards, and any other systems recommended by the architect/engineer (AE) and accepted by the owner.
- Development of construction documents that comply with applicable codes and regulations including the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code.
- Preparation of cost estimates and assistance in bidding and award processes.
Period of Performance
The contract will be executed as a single project service with completion expected by October 2026.

Work will be performed at the Jamestown Settlement Campus located at 2110 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185 and the Emerson Central Support Complex at 200 Hawks Nest Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be registered vendors in eVA (Virginia's electronic procurement system). The proposal must include completed forms AE-1 through AE-6. The selected firm should have experience in designing membrane, metal, and asphalt shingle roofing in educational or institutional settings. Additionally, there is a goal for small business participation set at 42% under Executive Order 35.
