Deionized Water Systems and Services-RFP-UVA-00087

Background
The University of Virginia is seeking an experienced and qualified firm to provide services for Deionized Water Systems including, but not limited to, distilled, reverse osmosis (RO), ultraviolet (UV), and deionized (DI) systems, within the Academic and Health Science Centers. The University intends to enter into an Agreement with the Selected Firm(s) to include those Services necessary to help the University achieve the goals outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
The RFP contains instructions for submitting a proposal, procedures, and criteria by which a firm may be selected, along with the contractual terms by which the University proposes to govern the relationship between it and the Selected Firm(s).

Work Details
The Selected Firm is required to provide Deionized Water Systems and services for systems including, but not limited to, distilled, reverse osmosis, and deionized water, in select buildings within the Academic and Health Science Centers. The firm must furnish all labor, materials, tools, and resources necessary to design and develop maintenance and repair schedules.
Additionally, the firm will provide a percentage discount on new systems as required by the University. The Selected Firm will also be responsible for inspecting and testing systems, replacing filters and bulbs as per recommended schedule provided by the firm, providing services between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The service log for each system must be developed and maintained by the Selected Firm.

Period of Performance
The term of the initial Agreement(s) will be for three years with the option to renew on the same or similar terms and conditions for a total of four additional years.
Negotiations with selected Firms are scheduled to begin for the week of July 8, 2024. The expected award date is September 2, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within various buildings at the Academic and Health Science Centers of the University of Virginia located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
