Data Center Emergency Power Off Controller (EPOC) Installation

Background
The contract is issued for the installation of an Emergency Power Off Controller (EPOC) panel and related equipment in the 7th floor server room. The goal is to enhance safety and operational efficiency in the data center by providing a reliable means to shut down HVAC and electrical systems during emergencies.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish and install an EPOC that complies with all applicable local electrical and fire safety codes, including the National Electric Code (NEC) 2017, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (VUSBC). Specific tasks include:

1. Achieving final completion within 60 days of contract award, including all training and documentation.
2. Conducting a pre-installation site survey to verify conditions.
3. Installing wiring in conduit and labeling all EPOC-related components.
4. Testing the EPOC post-installation for functionality and compliance.
5. Providing at least two hours of onsite training for the SCC Facilities Manager on EPOC operation and maintenance.
6. Furnishing operations manuals with wiring diagrams for each piece of equipment, along with warranty documents.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within sixty (60) days from the Notice of Award of the Contract.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place in the 7th floor server room of the designated facility.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must possess a valid Virginia contractor’s license and comply with all relevant safety codes, standards, laws, and regulations.
