Custodial Supplies

Background
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is located in the southwestern part of Virginia, serving approximately 9,500 students across 20 schools and two alternative education programs. The district benefits from local universities, Virginia Tech and Radford University, which provide resources for public school support.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish a contract for custodial supplies and uniforms through competitive negotiations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide custodial supplies on a routine basis as determined by the Contract Administrator. The inventory must include touchless soap dispensers, touchless paper towel dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, batteries, soap refills, paper towel refills, and toilet paper refills.

The contractor must maintain a minimum 95% fill rate for all items in their catalog. Orders must be fulfilled only with an MCPS purchase order; there are no minimum order quantities or additional fees for small orders. Defective products must be replaced at the contractor's expense. Deliveries are generally required weekly to the MCPS Warehouse during normal business hours (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM). The contractor is responsible for transportation costs and packaging to prevent damage during delivery.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year with options for four one-year renewals or as negotiated.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Montgomery County Public Schools located at 750 Imperial Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with insurance requirements including Worker's Compensation, Employers Liability ($100,000), General Liability ($500,000), and Automobile Liability ($500,000). Bidders must also certify that they are not debarred by the Commonwealth of Virginia from submitting bids on contracts for similar goods/services.
