Custodial Services for Amelia County Public Schools (RFP # 022025-1)

Background
The Amelia County School Board (ACPS) is seeking proposals from qualified Custodial Service Management Companies (CSMC) to provide custodial services for three schools, one administrative office building, and one bus garage.

The total area to be serviced is 276,633 cleanable square feet, supporting the activities of approximately 1,650 students. This initiative aims to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all facilities.

Work Details
The CSMC will be responsible for providing custodial services including but not limited to: cleaning classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and administrative offices; maintaining cleanliness in building grounds and entrances; managing trash removal; and ensuring compliance with specified cleaning frequencies detailed in the RFP.

The CSMC must adhere to APPA Level 2 cleaning standards and provide services for special events as needed. Additionally, the contractor must ensure proper recruitment and training of staff, maintain safety standards with EPA and Green Seal certified products, and provide necessary equipment and supplies.

Period of Performance
The contract is set to commence on July 1, 2025, following the award on April 14, 2025. Proposals are due by March 10, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Amelia County Public Schools including three schools: Amelia County Elementary School, Amelia County Middle School, Amelia County High School; one administrative office building; and one bus garage.
