Custodial Services at 2 Fairfax County Recreational Centers

Background
Fairfax County Park Authority is seeking bids for Custodial Services at two Recreational Centers. The average daily usage, specific sites to be serviced, and general requirements are detailed in the technical specifications.

Work Details
The custodial services include cleaning and maintenance of various areas such as the pool areas, office areas, front lobby, program and rental rooms, fitness area, restrooms, locker rooms, entrances/exits, stairways, elevator, and trash disposal. The services also involve daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning tasks such as cleaning gym equipment per manufacturer's guidelines, disinfecting lavatory fixtures and countertops with germicidal solution, and cleaning grouting and sealants with a Green Seal chemical cleaning agent.
The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials/supplies (including paper towels, toilet paper and soap), incidentals necessary to perform janitorial services. The contractor must also ensure that all chemical products are handled in compliance with federal, state, and county laws and regulations.

Period of Performance
The facilities shall be cleaned one time per day seven days per week between 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., except on specified County observed holidays. The contract also includes provisions for relief of responsibility during facility closures due to inclement weather or other reasons.

Place of Performance
The custodial services are required at Franconia Rec Center and George Washington Rec Center in Fairfax County.
