CUNNINGHAM WATER TREATMENT PLANT PHASE 2

Background
The Cunningham Water Treatment Plant Phase 2 project is initiated by the Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority (FCWSA). The purpose of this project is to enhance water treatment capabilities by developing new groundwater well sites and upgrading existing infrastructure. The FCWSA aims to ensure reliable water supply and quality for the community, aligning with its mission to provide safe and efficient water services.

Work Details
The project involves several key components:

1. Development of three remote groundwater well sites, including the installation of submersible well pumps, riser pipes, pitless adapters, meter vaults, generators, site piping, fencing, site lighting, access roads, and associated electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and site work.

2. Furnishing and installation of approximately 2,500 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron raw water main.

3. Installation of approximately 3,400 linear feet of 6-inch diameter ductile iron water main.

4. Installation of 355 linear feet of 24-inch casing pipe using jack and bore method along with associated appurtenances.

5. Furnishing and installation of one iron and manganese filtration system along with two new feed water transfer pumps at the existing Cunningham Water Treatment Plant.

6. Completion of associated electrical work, controls and instrumentation tasks as well as other related site work as specified in the project drawings.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe that will be specified in the Agreement following the bidding process.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations including three remote groundwater well sites and the existing Cunningham Water Treatment Plant located in Fauquier County, Virginia.
