The City of Fairfax is soliciting competitive bids for the rehabilitation of the Old Town Hall as part of Phase 2 of the project. Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and resources to complete the work as outlined in the contract documents. Key tasks include:
1. Site modifications including parking area adjustments and sidewalk revisions.
2. Installation of a new concrete stairway with granite treads and removal/replacement of existing mechanical equipment and bulkhead doors.
3. Restoration of existing stone foundation walls through reconstruction and repointing.
4. Exterior rehabilitation involving wood trim repairs, door/window restorations, new wood shutters, repainting, and gutter/downspout replacements.
5. Interior rehabilitation including restoration of original finishes and installation of new finishes where applicable.
6. Installation of a new HVAC system in both the original building and addition with electrical system upgrades without full rewiring or main panel replacement.
7. Relocation and potential addition of fire protection sprinkler heads to meet NFPA 13 standards.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe that will be detailed in subsequent project schedules.
