City of Poquoson - IFB #25-005 Amory's Wharf Living Shoreline

Background
The City of Poquoson, Virginia, is seeking bids for the Amory's Wharf Living Shoreline project. The goal of this contract is to enhance coastal resilience and promote wetland habitat rehabilitation through the installation of a living shoreline and marsh sills. This project is part of the city's broader mission to protect and restore its natural resources.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the installation of a living shoreline and marsh sills at Amory's Wharf. Specific tasks include:

1) Removal of existing debris;
2) Installation of two marsh sills;
3) Placement of sand;
4) Native wetland plantings;
5) Enhancement of the kayak launch area as detailed in the joint permit application and construction documents (Attachment H).

Period of Performance
The contract period is set for 90 days to achieve Substantial Completion and 120 days for Final Completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Amory's Wharf, located at 0 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, Virginia 23662.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must submit all required insurance and bonds as per City requirements prior to contract award. They are also required to secure and pay for all necessary bonds, permits, fees, tests, and inspections. Bidders must be licensed as required by Virginia law.
