Charcoal Radon Test Kits

Background
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is issuing this solicitation to replenish the supply of charcoal radon test kits available for purchase by Virginia citizens through vdhradon.org.
The goal is to encourage Virginians to test their homes for radon, which is essential for determining if a radon problem exists.
The kits have been successfully distributed in the past, boasting a high usage rate compared to previous distribution methods.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of 6,500 short-term activated charcoal radon test kits.
Each kit must contain at least 35 grams of activated charcoal and have an unlimited shelf life.
The total price for the kits is set at $4 per kit, which includes return postage to the laboratory, lab analysis, reporting, and online access to results for both consumers and the VDH indoor radon program.
The contractor is responsible for furnishing and delivering these kits as specified.

Period of Performance
The contract is non-renewable and will be performed from the issue date of March 14, 2025, until the close date of April 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) – Office of Radiological Health located at 109 Governor Street Room 730, Richmond, VA 23219.
