Central Office Roof Replacement Project

Background
Spotsylvania County Schools (SBCS) is seeking bids for the Central Office Roof Replacement Project. The goal of this project is to provide a practical, time-effective, and cost-efficient solution for replacing the low slope roof system on the Spotsylvania School Central Office Building.

The project aims to ensure the integrity and functionality of the building's roofing system as part of SBCS's commitment to maintaining its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete replacement of the low slope roof system on the Spotsylvania School Central Office Building as detailed in the Project Manual. Bids must be based on drawings and specifications provided by Monarch Consulting Services.

Contractors must be Virginia Licensed, Class A Contractors qualified under the terms outlined in the enclosed documents. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to fulfill the contract requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence from the date of the Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed by November 7, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Spotsylvania School Central Office Building located at 8020 River Stone Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed/registered Class A contractors in Virginia and must have a current/active State Corporation Commission (SCC) number. They are required to provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price if awarded.

Additionally, bids must include a cashier's or certified check or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid made payable to the School Board of Spotsylvania County.
