Central Office Roof Replacement Project

Background
The Spotsylvania County Schools (SBCS) is seeking bids for the Central Office Roof Replacement Project. The goal of this project is to provide a practical, time-effective, and cost-efficient solution for replacing the low slope roof system on the Spotsylvania School Central Office Building. This initiative aligns with SBCS's commitment to maintaining safe and functional educational facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete replacement of the low slope roof system on the Spotsylvania School Central Office Building as outlined in the Project Manual. Bids must adhere to specifications provided by Monarch Consulting Services, which include detailed drawings and requirements for materials and workmanship.

The contractor must be a Virginia Licensed Class A Contractor qualified under the terms specified in the bid documents. The work includes all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services required to fulfill the contract obligations.

Period of Performance
The contract term will commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed by November 7, 2025. Substantial completion is targeted for October 17, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Spotsylvania School Central Office Building located at 8020 River Stone Drive, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be Virginia Licensed Class A Contractors and provide a bid bond of 5% of the base bid amount. They must also have a current/active State Corporation Commission number prior to submission of their bid.

Additionally, bidders are required to demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience in complex roof projects and have completed specific types of projects within defined financial thresholds.
