CC Building Drinking Fountain Replacement

Background
The CC Building Drinking Fountain Replacement project is initiated by the Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) located on the Annandale Campus. The primary goal of this project is to enhance accessibility and compliance with ADA standards by replacing existing drinking fountains and modifying alcove widths. This aligns with NVCC's commitment to providing a safe and accessible environment for all students and staff.

Work Details
The project involves the following key tasks:
1. Removal of four (4) existing drinking fountains located in the CC Building.
2. Increasing the width of CMU alcoves to ensure compliance with ADA regulations.
3. Installation of four (4) new drinking fountains equipped with bottle-fillers, ensuring modern amenities are available for users.

Period of Performance
The contract stipulates that substantial completion must occur within 60 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement as specified in the Notice to Proceed, followed by final completion within an additional 30 consecutive calendar days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the CC Building, located at 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003, on the Northern Virginia Community College Annandale Campus.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA and comply with Virginia licensing requirements based on contract value. For contracts exceeding $120,000, a Class A Contractor license is required; for contracts between $10,000 and $120,000, a Class B Contractor license is necessary. Additionally, bidders must submit a Small Business Procurement Plan detailing proposed participation percentages by small businesses.
