Category B Small Purchase Professional Services - Statewide

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of General Services, is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a Statewide Category B Pool for Professional Architecture and Engineering Services.
The goal is to provide these services on an as-needed basis for projects with fees under $80,000, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing costs associated with advertising and developing multiple RFQs.

Work Details
The selected Architect/Engineers (A/E) will be required to provide a range of professional services including evaluations, analysis, recommendations, cost and time estimates, reports, feasibility studies, preparation of schematic or preliminary designs, field inspections and investigations, and code compliance investigations.
They will also prepare complete contract documents for small project designs according to the A/E Manual procedures.
Additional responsibilities include investigating problems and preparing recommendations for corrective action, conducting feasibility studies, and providing other professional services consistent with the intent of the RFQ.

Period of Performance
The contract period will last for one year from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be provided statewide for use by all public bodies in Virginia.
