CA Replace Doors

Background
The project, titled 'CA Replace Doors,' is initiated by Northern Virginia Community College (NVCC) with the objective of replacing the student services doors in the student services building located at the Annandale Campus.

The contract aims to enhance the functionality and security of the building's entry points, aligning with NVCC's mission to provide quality educational facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the replacement of interior doors in the CA Student Services Building. Specific tasks involve:
1. Selective demolition of existing door frames and hardware.
2. Installation of new hollow metal doors and frames as per specifications outlined in Division 08, including door hardware and fire-rated glazing.
3. Application of finishes such as painting and installation of resinous matrix terrazzo flooring as specified in Division 09.

The contractor is also responsible for ensuring compliance with thermal and moisture protection standards outlined in Division 07.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be performed from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed until substantial completion within thirty (30) days, followed by final completion within an additional thirty (30) days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale Campus, specifically within the Student Services Building.
