BRAND OoK SNOW MH MEDICAL BEDSLIGATURE RESISTANT HOSPITAL BED (NO SUBISTITUTE)

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services, is seeking to procure specific medical equipment, namely the OoK Snow MH Medical Bed. This solicitation aims to ensure that the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute has hospital beds that meet stringent safety and operational standards. The goal is to provide high-quality medical beds that are ligature resistant and suitable for use in a mental health facility.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of OoK Snow MH Medical Beds with the following specifications:
- 600 lb weight capacity
- Tamperproof fasteners
- 4 DC motors
- Battery backup
- 4 casters with central brake
- One hand release siderails
- Flat deck for ease of cleaning
- Open architecture design
- One step Trendelenburg feature
- Nurse controls integrated into siderails and footboard
- Patient controls integrated into siderails
- Motion control master lockout
- Boostless™ backrest system with backrest angle indicator
- 120V system and short power cord specifications provided (OL360012-TRI-T, OL360179-T)
- Safe-Lock Braking System (OL360167WG-T) and various other features including user manuals and packaging details.
The contractor must ensure that all items are delivered by June 15th, or the purchase order will be canceled. Additionally, maintenance manuals must be provided with each piece of equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to conclude by June 15th of the current fiscal year, with all orders needing to be received and paid within this timeframe.

Place of Performance
Delivery will take place at the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute located at 340 Bagley Circle, Marion, Virginia 24354. Deliveries should occur between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM, and a liftgate is recommended for unloading.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including being registered on the eVA business-to-government portal. The solicitation is set-aside for DSBSD-certified micro businesses or small businesses. Bidders must also provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation, including workers’ compensation and general liability insurance.
