BISP Bel Air House Painting

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is issuing this Quick Quote to solicit bids for painting maintenance on the Bel Air Mansion located within Belle Isle State Park.

The goal of the contract is to ensure the preservation and aesthetic upkeep of this historical site, which is part of the agency's mission to manage and protect Virginia's natural and cultural resources.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for painting maintenance at the Bel Air Mansion.

Specific tasks include:
- Cleaning, preparing, priming, and painting the mansion's exterior surfaces (approximately 2,376 sq. ft.)
- Window frames
- Picket fencing (estimated 150 feet in length)

The contractor must also remove or protect items not scheduled for painting, such as ground surfaces and existing fixtures. All work must be performed during normal business hours unless otherwise agreed upon. The contractor shall use Pittsburg Paint 'Seal Grip' Primer and either Pittsburg or Sherman Williams paints for the job. A thorough cleanup of the work area is required at the end of each workday.

Period of Performance
The work must be scheduled no later than seven calendar days after receipt of the award purchase order.

Completion of work must occur within specified windows: October 28 – November 8, 2024 or December 2 – December 20, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Belle Isle State Park, located at 537 Belle Isle Rd., Lancaster, VA 22503.
