Beaver Creek Sewer Shed Improvements - Phase 2

Background
BVU Authority, located in Bristol, Virginia, is seeking bids for the Beaver Creek Sewer Shed Improvements Project - Phase 2. The project aims to enhance the sewer infrastructure as part of their mission to maintain and improve public utilities. This project is funded through the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.

Work Details
The project includes the following work:

- Base Bid involves the installation of UV-cured CIPP liner throughout approximately 28,000 linear feet (LF) of sewer line (12 inches and smaller diameter).
- 340 LF of pipe bursting for 6-inch to 8-inch pipes.
- Rehabilitation of 640 vertical feet (VF) of sewer manholes.
- Installation of 308 CIPP private lateral sewer lines.
- Installation of 200 sewer cleanouts.
- Locating and raising 12 sewer manholes.
- Associated appurtenances.

The Additive Alternate includes:

- Replacing approximately 1,840 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer line.
- Installing 48 VF of 4-foot diameter sanitary sewer manholes.
- Rehabilitating 76 VF of 4-foot diameter sanitary sewer manholes.
- Installing 14 manhole insertion bowls.
- Approximately 400 LF of 6-inch sewer lateral line.
- Installing approximately 22 sanitary sewer cleanouts.
- Providing 40 hours of equipment prospecting.
- Associated appurtenances.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed until August 7, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at various locations within the Beaver Creek Sewer Shed in Bristol, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the President’s Executive Order #14173 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. They must also certify that they do not maintain segregated facilities based on race or national origin. Additionally, all iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States as mandated by Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act.
