Bank Street Pump Station Improvements

Background
The Sussex Service Authority is seeking qualified contractors to undertake improvements at the Bank Street Pump Station. The goal of this contract is to enhance the existing infrastructure to ensure efficient operation and compliance with regulatory standards.

This project is part of the authority's ongoing efforts to maintain and upgrade wastewater management systems in Waverly, Virginia.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Construction of a suction lift pump station;
2) Modifications to the existing wet well;
3) Installation of approximately 30 linear feet of 6-inch force main with connection to the existing 6-inch force main;
4) Provision of all associated instrumentation, control, and electrical systems;
5) Installation of a new generator;
6) Minor building repairs;
7) Site work necessary to restore existing conditions;
8) Coordination with Virginia American Water for potable water lateral connection and backflow prevention.

Period of Performance
The contract duration will be specified in the Agreement section, with substantial completion expected within a defined number of days post-award.

Place of Performance
The improvements will take place at the Bank Street Pump Station located at 4385 Beef Steak Road, Waverly, Virginia.
