Background
The Virginia Distribution Center (VDC) is seeking bids for the supply of frozen bacon. This solicitation is governed by the Commonwealth of Virginia's procurement regulations and aims to ensure that the products meet specific quality and safety standards as outlined by federal and state laws.

Work Details
The contractor will provide frozen bacon that meets or exceeds USDA IMPS, Virginia Department of Agriculture regulations, Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, Federal Wholesale Meat Act, USDA Grade Standards, and Commercial Item Descriptions.

All products must be wholesome, commercially available, of institutional quality or better, recently produced and packaged. The product must be completely frozen upon delivery with a temperature not exceeding 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Deliveries must comply with specified packaging standards including proper palletization and labeling. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that all products delivered are free from defects for a period of six months post-delivery.

Period of Performance
The contract will remain in effect until the completion of the delivery requirements as specified in the purchase order, with ongoing performance expected as per the agreed delivery schedule.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to the Virginia Distribution Center located in Sandston, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with eVA and comply with all applicable laws regarding business operations in Virginia. The solicitation is set-aside for DSBSD-certified micro businesses or small businesses. Bidders must certify that they are not debarred from contracting with the Commonwealth of Virginia.
