Auburn Elementary Roof Project

Background
The Auburn Elementary Roof Replacement Project is initiated by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) in Virginia. It aims to replace the roofing system of Auburn Elementary School to ensure the safety and functionality of the school facilities by addressing existing roofing issues.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the removal of approximately 25,760 square feet of asphalt built-up roofing and its replacement with new PVC single-ply membrane. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits at no additional cost to MCPS. Additional tasks include:
- Replace Wood Blocking (100 board feet)
- Replace Metal Deck (250 square feet)
- Repair/Plate Deteriorated Metal Deck (250 square feet)
- Repair/Paint Deteriorated Metal Deck (250 square feet)
- Secure Metal Deck Side Laps (50 fasteners)
- Secure Metal Deck to Structural Framing (25 fasteners).

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence after the bid opening on April 10, 2025. The timeline will be defined in accordance with the project requirements and contractor's schedule.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Auburn Elementary School located at 1760 Auburn School Road, Riner, Virginia 24149.
