Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through its Department of Education, is seeking to establish a firm-fixed price contract for American Heart Association-certified CPR training.
This initiative aims to assist Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers in meeting licensure requirements and enhancing the skills of educators in Health and Medical Sciences.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive training services including:
1. Training a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 25 participants as American Heart Association Basic Life Support instructors.
These instructors will be equipped to train CTE students in high-quality CPR techniques. All participants must hold an active AHA BLS Provider certification card.
2. Training a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 25 business and information technology teachers in the AHA’s Heart Saver First Aid with CPR/AED for Adults and Children course.
3. Training a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 25 family and consumer sciences teachers in the same Heart Saver First Aid with CPR/AED course.
4. Providing access to an Instructor Essentials Online Course prior to in-person skills demonstration classes.
5. Supplying all necessary training materials, including manuals, instructional handouts, and certificates upon course completion.
6. The contractor must be knowledgeable about Virginia's regulatory requirements for secondary education students and related CTE course competencies.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon execution and continue through the completion of services, specifically targeting training sessions scheduled for July 2025.

Place of Performance
Training will occur at specified locations including the Westin Richmond, Hilton Short Pump, and Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront in Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be DSBSD-certified small businesses or micro-businesses to qualify for this set-aside contract.
Additionally, bidders are required to possess a valid Virginia Contractor License.
