AED-CAD-Laser cutter/engraver and technical support

Background
Arlington Cultural Affairs, a division of Arlington Economic Development (AED), aims to create, support, and promote the arts in Arlington. The County intends to enter a contract for a maximum of five years with the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder for the provision of a laser cutter/engraver and technical support. This will enhance their facilities and support arts organizations receiving grants from the Arlington Commission for the Arts.

Work Details
The contract includes the delivery of one laser cutter/engraver similar to the Thunder Laser Nova 63 100 Watt Laser, Boss Laser LS-3655, or Aeon Mira Pro S. The specifications include:
- A working area with a bed no smaller than 48” wide with a 'Pass Through' for full sheets measuring 48” x 96”
- Laser wattage of 100w
- Ability to cut through ¾” plywood
- 1GB file storage
- Plug-and-play setup
- Built-in safety features (heat alarms and door sensors)
- CO2 glass tube laser source
- 110v 20A power requirement
- Air pump
- Laser pointer for alignment
- Auto focus
- Chiller
- Exhaust fan
- Fume extractor
- Stand/table
Additionally, it must include LightBurn software. The contractor must also provide training and technical support that includes at least one hour of setup training with a live US-based technician and 24/7 technical support via email with a minimum response time of 15 minutes. Warranty terms are two years for the main machine and one year for additional parts.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is twelve months from the date of award and receipt of Purchase Order (PO), with the possibility of four additional twelve-month extensions based on satisfactory performance. The total contract value shall not exceed $200,000.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Arlington County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have ten continuous years of experience producing laser machines and providing customer technical support. They are required to submit references from three clients who have purchased comparable laser cutter/engravers. Bidders must also provide proof of U.S.-based support team availability.
