Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Transportation (VDOT), is issuing a contract for on-call guardrail hits repair.
This contract aims to address damages to guardrails across various locations within the Fredericksburg district, ensuring road safety and compliance with transportation standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services and materials:
- Aggregate Base Material Type I or II (No. 21A or 21B) - 200 tons
- Machining Shoulders - 8,000 linear feet
- Railing Texas T-6 Construction - 12.5 linear feet
- Guardrail GR-MGS1 - 1,000 linear feet
- Guardrail GR-MGS1A - 250 linear feet
- Guardrail GR-MGS1, 9' Post - 100 linear feet
- Radial Guardrail GR-MGS1 - 100 linear feet
- Radial Guardrail GR-MGS1, 9' Post - 100 linear feet
- Guardrail Terminal GR-MGS2 - 75 units
- Guardrail End Anchorage GR-MGS3 - 6 units
- Guardrail Height Transition GR-MGS4 - 5 units
- Additional guardrail components including terminals, posts, and various attachments as detailed in the bid proposal.

Period of Performance
The contract period is set to commence upon award and is expected to be completed by June 18, 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within the Fredericksburg district of Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet prequalification requirements set by VDOT. The contract encourages participation from Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business Enterprises (SWAM).
All contractors must comply with VDOT's Drug-Free Workplace policy and provide evidence of insurance and bonding as specified in the contract documents.
