Background
Eastern State Hospital (ESH), located in Williamsburg, Virginia, is an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia founded in 1773, focusing on community-centered mental health care. The hospital spans approximately 500 acres and includes two patient care buildings staffed by over 900 employees to care for around 300 patients. ESH is part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and is accredited by the Joint Commission. This solicitation aims to establish a contract for On-Site Podiatry Services for ESH patients.

Work Details
The contractor will provide On-Site Podiatry Services including:
- Diagnostic examinations and specialized diagnostic tests or procedures.
- Treatment services such as writing prescriptions, ordering medications, lab work, X-rays; treating fissured heels, mycotic lesions on feet or toes; trimming toenails; debridement of corns and callouses; removal of uncomplicated ingrown toenails; application of preventative measures for diabetic foot; providing continuous education to staff; telephone consultations with Agency physicians; participating in quality assurance activities related to podiatry services.
- Conducting scheduled clinics at the Agency's Medical Clinic monthly and quarterly on-unit visits for patients unable to attend regular clinic spaces. The contractor will also perform Pedorthic Footwear Services including examination and fitting of special footwear.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence from the date of award for an initial term of two years, with three optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be provided at the Medical Clinic at Eastern State Hospital, AMHTC/Bldg. 2, Williamsburg, Virginia, or another mutually agreed facility based on patient needs.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in eVA to submit bids. The solicitation is set aside for DSBSD-certified micro businesses or small businesses. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including maintaining a drug-free workplace and providing necessary insurance coverage.
