Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing a contract for the 2025 Plant Mix - Secondary project. This project aims to provide necessary materials and services for road maintenance and improvements in various locations within Spotsylvania and Stafford counties, specifically under the Fredericksburg district. The goal is to enhance roadway conditions through the application of plant mix materials.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing various products and services as outlined in the bid proposal. Key items include:
- Aggregate Base Material Type I or II (No. 21A or 21B) - approximately 414.31 tons.
- Tack Coat - approximately 31,702 gallons.
- Asphalt Concrete Type IM-19.0A Maintenance - approximately 6,919.22 tons.
- Pavement Shoulder Wedge Preparation Construction - approximately 47,310 linear feet.
- Flexible Pavement Planing above 2"-4" - approximately 1,230 square yards.
- Temporary Pavement Marking Type A (4" and 12") - approximately 612,648 linear feet and 862 linear feet respectively.

Additionally, the contractor must ensure compliance with all specifications regarding traffic maintenance, safety measures during construction, and environmental considerations as per VDOT guidelines.

Period of Performance
The contract period is set to commence upon award and is expected to be completed by November 21, 2025.
