550_2024 2025 Concrete Repair - Interstate

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Transportation (VDOT), is issuing a contract for concrete repair on Interstate 64 in various locations within Chesapeake, Hampton Roads District.
The goal of this contract is to maintain and enhance the safety and functionality of the interstate infrastructure as part of VDOT's ongoing mission to provide safe and efficient transportation systems.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:
1. Supply and application of Aggregate Base Material Type I or II (21A or 21B) - approximately 60 tons.
2. Patching of Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete (HCC) Pavement Type I - approximately 960 square yards.
3. Patching of HCC Pavement Type II - approximately 2,400 square yards.
4. Eradication of Linear Pavement Marking - approximately 4,170 linear feet.
5. Eradication of Nonlinear Pavement Marking - approximately 240 square feet.
6. Temporary Pavement Marking Type A, 4 inches wide - approximately 690 linear feet.
7. Temporary Pavement Marking Type A, 8 inches wide - approximately 4,170 linear feet.
8. Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) as a lump sum item.
9. Installation of Type B Class I Pavement Line Marking (24 inches) - approximately 120 linear feet.
10. Installation of Type B Class VI Pavement Line Marking (6 inches) - approximately 690 linear feet.
11. Installation of Type B Class VI Pavement Line Marking (12 inches) - approximately 4,170 linear feet.
12. Removal of Snow-Plowable Raised Pavement Markers (SRPM) - approximately 800 each.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to commence upon award and must be completed by November 21, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at various locations along Interstate 64 in Chesapeake, Virginia.
