Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Virginia Community College System, is seeking bids for the repair of mechanical room beams and columns at the Northern Virginia Community College Annandale Campus. The project aims to address structural integrity issues by installing additional structural beams and columns to support existing structures in the CF Building Mechanical Room.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Installation of additional structural beams and columns to support existing structural beams in the CF Building Mechanical Room.
2. Repair of deteriorated structural beams and columns.
3. Compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations as per the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code.
4. All necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the project as specified in the plans and specifications dated December 12, 2024.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to achieve substantial completion within 60 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement as specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is required within 30 consecutive calendar days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Northern Virginia Community College, located at 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, Virginia 22003.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA (Virginia's electronic procurement system). A Bid Bond is required for bids exceeding $250,000. Contractors must be licensed in Virginia as either a Class A or Class B contractor depending on the contract value. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to submit a Small Business Procurement Plan detailing their proposed percentage of participation by small businesses.
