Background
The City of Fredericksburg is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified firms for structural repairs at the Renwick Courthouse Bell Tower located at 815 Princess Anne Street in Historic Downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The property, known as the Renwick Complex, includes historically significant buildings designed by architect James Renwick, Jr. The City aims to preserve this important part of its history while ensuring its continued use and relevance.

Work Details
The project involves repairs to the Renwick Bell Tower that must adhere to The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The contractor is required to conduct all work in accordance with the Project Manual dated May 31, 2024, prepared by Restoration Engineering.

Specific tasks include structural repairs necessary for maintaining the integrity and historical significance of the bell tower. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work as specified in the Contract Documents.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall commence work within ten (10) days after receiving a Notice to Proceed and is expected to substantially complete the work no later than 120 calendar days after this notice.

The contract will be performed at the Renwick Courthouse Bell Tower located at 815 Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
