Background
The Allen Building HVAC Renovation project is being undertaken by Radford University, located in Radford, Virginia. The primary goal of this project is to upgrade the HVAC systems within the Allen Building to improve efficiency and functionality. This renovation includes significant structural changes and replacements to ensure compliance with modern standards.

Work Details
The scope of work for the Allen Building HVAC Renovation includes the following:
- Replacement of air handlers
- Duct work
- Piping
- Boilers
- Light fixtures
- Acoustical ceilings

The project will involve construction activities within a perimeter extending 5 feet from the walls of the building. Specific tasks include excavation of unsuitable materials as needed and backfilling with compacted material per specifications. The contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis based on the Total Base Bid Amount, which includes sitework beyond the 5 feet building perimeter and excavation of rock material at trenches.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is set for 365 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is required within 30 consecutive calendar days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on the campus of Radford University, specifically at the Allen Building located at 501 Stockton Street, Radford, VA 24142.
