Description

The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is the procurement of Uniforms for the Western Virginia Regional Jail.The County of Roanoke, on behalf of the Western Virginia Regional Jail Authority (hereinafter referred to as Owner or WVRJA ), invites any qualified Bidder to respond to this IFB by submitting a Bid for such work, service, and/or items consistent with the terms and conditions herein set forth.The Owner will review each bid and may elect to issue separate awards to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s) for such goods/services.This procurement is for the on-site collection, destruction, and shredding of paper, media, security id badges, etc, containing confidential or personal information.
Background
The County of Roanoke, on behalf of the Western Virginia Regional Jail Authority (WVRJA), is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the procurement of uniforms. The goal is to provide necessary uniforms for the staff at the Western Virginia Regional Jail, ensuring compliance with operational standards and requirements.

Work Details
The successful bidder must provide uniforms that are to be shipped and delivered within a 30-day timeframe to the Western Virginia Regional Jail. The bid must include a set price for hemming and alterations, covering all patch applications per shirt. Additionally, a set price for embroidery on polo shirts and jackets must be established. If any requested product is not listed in the bid items, a sample must be provided at no cost to WVRJA. Bidders are required to stock common sizes and have the capability to obtain odd sizes within the specified timeframe.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on October 1, 2025, and will terminate on September 30, 2026. There is an option for renewal for up to four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The uniforms will be delivered to the Western Virginia Regional Jail located in Roanoke County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate proven experience with Virginia local governments within the past five years and must be licensed to do business in Virginia. They are also required to comply with nondiscrimination provisions as per Virginia Code Section 2.2-4311.
