2026-010 - Window Cleaning for Roanoke County Buildings

Routine window cleaning services are performed by trained personnel using commercial-grade equipment and environmentally responsible cleaning solutions. These services are essential for ensuring visibility, aesthetic appeal, and the longevity of building exteriors.

Work Details
The Successful Bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and any other services necessary to perform thorough cleaning of interior and exterior window systems across designated County facilities. The cleaning services will include any glass partitions within the facility.

The Contractor must follow OSHA requirements applicable to all window cleaning activities performed on the inside/outside of a building. Personal protective equipment must be provided to all personnel assigned to our locations. For service continuity, safety, and to minimize disruption of County operations, some facilities must be serviced outside of normal business hours. Work shall be scheduled through the General Services Department. All invoices for completed work must be submitted electronically. The County reserves the right to add additional locations as needed.

Period of Performance
The term of any resultant Contract will be for one (1) year, from August 1, 2025, through July 31, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various Roanoke County buildings including but not limited to the Roanoke County Administration Center, Courthouse, Public Safety Building, Social Services Building, Libraries, and Parks & Recreation facilities.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing window cleaning services of similar size and scope. Bidders must comply with Virginia Code Section 2.2-4311 regarding nondiscrimination provisions and drug-free workplace provisions.
