2025-2026 M7B Chesterfield Residency Snow Removal

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing a solicitation for snow and ice removal services for the 2025-2026 winter season through the Chesterfield Residency. Work Details
Contractors are required to provide operational services including snow removal and road clearing treatment using their own equipment and operators. Specific equipment types include:

- 4WD pickups
- Single-axle dump trucks
- Multi-axle dump trucks
- Tractors
- Rubber tire loaders
- Motor graders
- Backhoes
- Skid steer loaders
- Shadow vehicles/pilot trucks
- Supervisors with 4WD vehicles.

Each type of equipment has specified operational rates ranging from $91.00 to $358.00 per hour based on vehicle type and capabilities. Contractors must ensure that all equipment meets VDOT specifications and is properly rigged for snow removal operations. Equipment must be inspected and accepted by VDOT before use.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon approval of the vendor agreement and will extend through April 30 of the year following the effective date.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed within the Chesterfield Residency area but may extend to other locations as agreed upon by VDOT.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be registered in the Virginia eProcurement Portal (eVA) to participate in this solicitation. They are required to submit a completed Electronic Snow Removal Equipment Agreement by October 3, 2025, along with proof of insurance that lists VDOT as an additional insured. Additionally, contractors must ensure that their equipment is inspected and meets all safety regulations prior to deployment.
