2025-06 RFP Architect/Engineer Services for County

Background
The Middlesex County, Virginia government is seeking qualified Offerors to provide professional architectural and engineering (A/E) consulting, construction/project administration/management, and related services.
The goal of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish term contracts through competitive negotiations for these services on an 'as needed' basis.

Work Details
The contract will involve providing architectural and engineering services for various buildings in Middlesex County, including but not limited to:
1. CCOC - Storage: Prefabricated tin building with 5,278 SF.
2. CCOC - Bus Maintenance Shop: 3,400 SF bus shop used by MCPS.
3. CCOC - White Building: 3,496 SF shop and storage facility.
4. Cooks Corner Office Complex: Main building with a total of 19,800 SF.
5. Freeshade Community Center: Community center with 3,000 SF.
6. Historic Courthouse: 6,120 SF courthouse built in 1852.
7. Hummel Airport Hangar: Hangar with 11,600 SF primarily used by Middlesex County Public Schools.
8. Kidd Building: 9,028 SF building constructed in 1993.
9. Maintenance Office: Approximate area of 980 SF.
10. Middlesex County Animal Shelter: Approximately 2,592 SF.
11. New Courthouse: Total area between 42,357 to 42,780 SF.
12. Puller Center - MCSO: Renovation plan for approximately 10,420 SF.
13. Various other buildings including community service centers and administrative offices totaling approximately 153,908 SF across multiple locations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed on an as-needed basis with no specific end date provided; however, major renovations are expected to begin in 2024 and be completed in 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Middlesex County, Virginia including Saluda and Topping.

Bidder Requirements
