Background
The City of Lynchburg, Virginia, through its Procurement Division, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to select a professional and licensed company to provide preventative maintenance services for refrigeration and kitchen equipment for Lynchburg City Schools (LCS).

The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of kitchen equipment used in the schools, aligning with LCS's mission to provide quality education and services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:
1. Conducting regular preventative maintenance on all refrigeration and kitchen equipment as specified by LCS.
2. Performing necessary repairs on malfunctioning equipment.
3. Maintaining a detailed log of all maintenance activities performed, including dates, types of service provided, and any parts replaced.
4. Responding promptly to service calls for emergency repairs outside of scheduled maintenance visits.
5. Ensuring compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations during maintenance activities.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue for a period of one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to four additional one-year terms based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Lynchburg City Schools in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors with experience in servicing commercial kitchen equipment.

They are required to demonstrate compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and equipment maintenance. Additionally, bidders should have liability insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
