Background
The County of Mathews, Virginia, is seeking proposals for Information Technology (IT) Managed Services to support its operations. The County serves approximately 8,400 residents and has various departments that require IT support, including Administration, Sheriff’s Office, Commissioner of Revenue, Treasurer, Registrar, Commonwealth Attorney, Clerk of Court, and the Board of Supervisors.

The goal is to engage a contractor experienced in government IT services who can provide comprehensive support for the County's IT infrastructure and ensure security and efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will provide managed services based on a fixed monthly price per user or device. Services include:
1. Infrastructure Management: Support for enterprise network equipment including configuration, patch management, monitoring of firewalls and servers.
2. Personal Computers and Devices: Technical support for County staff including help desk services and setup of devices.
3. Disaster Planning and Recovery: Development of disaster recovery plans ensuring regular backups and restoration capabilities within 24 hours of an incident.
4. Security: Implementation of a holistic security posture including monitoring and remediation of security events.
5. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the County Administrator to plan future IT needs and budget requirements.
6. Other Services: Compliance with Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and archiving files as per Virginia Public Records Retention Act.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of two years starting from the date of full execution, with options for up to two additional two-year terms.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Mathews County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience with government IT services, possess necessary security clearances, provide evidence of adequate insurance coverage (including errors and omissions), and comply with all applicable laws regarding discrimination and workplace safety.
