2024-IFB-7041022 Preventative Maintenance & Repair Services and Parts for Custodial Equipment

Background
The County of Albemarle is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit sealed bids from qualified sources to enter into a contract to provide Preventative Maintenance & Repair Services and repair parts for Custodial Equipment. The initial contract shall be for one (1) year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, at the discretion of Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS).

Work Details
The contractor must perform equipment maintenance and repairs onsite at the respective campus location when possible; refer to the attached campus location list.
All repair work and preventative maintenance work will be provided as needed, only when needed and may be limited or none. The contractor must supply an estimate prior to repairing or picking up inoperable equipment, prior to performing a major repair, and prior to performing any repair with a cost that will be equal to or greater than 50% of the cost of the equipment being repaired. The contractor must supply all labor and parts necessary to perform necessary repairs either onsite or at their repair site location.
The services provided must be in accordance with the methods and procedures of the original manufacturer’s operations, maintenance and repairs manuals, and shall conform to the industry’s highest standards.

Period of Performance
The period of contract performance is one (1) year from the date of contract award with four (4) additional, optional one (1) year renewals at the discretion of Albemarle County Public Schools.

Place of Performance
The services are expected to be performed at 27 campuses of Albemarle County Public Schools.
