199-18577-011 (B41) Crow's Nest Natural Area Preserve, Raven Road Parking Area and Residence Demolition

Background
The contract is issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Conservation & Recreation for the Raven Road Parking Area and Residence Demolition project at Crow's Nest Natural Area Preserve. The mission of the agency is to manage and protect Virginia's natural resources. This project aims to enhance the accessibility and functionality of the preserve by demolishing an existing structure and constructing new facilities.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Demolition of an existing one-story building, including its associated wood deck, fence, utilities, foundation, and gravel driveway.

2. Construction of a new gravel parking area with a capacity for 21 vehicles, which includes:
- One (1) ADA van-accessible concrete parking space
- One (1) Electrical Vehicle Parking Space (EVPS)
- One (1) Level 1 Electrical Vehicle Charging Station.

3. Construction of a gravel access road.

4. Designation of an area for an ADA-accessible portable toilet.

5. Installation of two automatic electrical gates at site entrances along with their associated low voltage circuits from power poles.

6. Construction of two stormwater management dry swales.

7. Installation of four-board fences along the property line adjacent to Raven Road, all according to provided plans and specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is expected to be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement as specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is required within 30 consecutive calendar days after substantial completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Crow's Nest Natural Area Preserve located at 201 Raven Rd., Stafford, VA 22554.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered vendors in eVA and hold a valid VDOT Advanced Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) certification at the time of submitting the VDOT Land Use Permit application. A Bid Bond is required for submission.
