159738 UIFB Grid Deck Panels

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing this solicitation to procure Steel Grid Decking Panels for the Expressway Area Headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA. The goal is to furnish and deliver these materials to support infrastructure needs.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide two steel grid decking panels, each approximately 29 feet 6 inches long and 7 feet ½ inch wide, made of 5-3/16” open 4-way galvanized open grid decking panel (A709 Grade 50 Galvanized).

The manufacturer must be certified by the American Institute for Steel Construction (AISC), American Welding Society (AWS), and the Bridge Grid Flooring Manufacturers Association (BGFMA). Delivery must occur within twelve weeks from the date of award, and shop drawings must be submitted within one week of notification of award for VDOT's approval.

Delivery will be made under the High Rise Bridge in Chesapeake, VA, with specific offloading responsibilities assigned to the contractor.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence from the date of award and last for twelve weeks, with no renewal options available.

Bidder Requirements
