159704 Concrete Leveling

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids for concrete leveling services to support the Chesterfield Residency in the Richmond District. The goal is to provide labor, equipment, and materials necessary for leveling concrete sidewalks, including areas around driveways, drop inlets, concrete ditches, and curbs and gutters. This contract aims to ensure safe and accessible public pathways.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Providing all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, fuel, and incidentals necessary for concrete leveling on an on-call basis.

2. Achieving concrete leveling through motorized means by injecting a concrete slurry under settled areas or grinding down elevated sections.

3. Restoring any disturbed areas to their original or similar appearance.

4. Cleaning the work area to maintain a neat and orderly site upon completion.

5. Commencing work within seven calendar days of award notification.

6. Providing traffic control as per the VA Work Area Protection Manual at no additional cost.

7. Employing experienced personnel capable of performing tasks such as mud-jacking and slab-jacking using Gypsum slurry material verified by a VDOT representative.

8. Supplying all necessary water for the work at no extra charge.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on June 1, 2025, or the date of award if later, and will last for one year with potential renewals.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Chesterfield, Powhatan, and Amelia Counties.
