159440 Concrete Leveling Services

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB # 159440) to solicit qualified firms for concrete leveling services. The goal of the contract is to provide labor, equipment, and materials necessary for leveling concrete sidewalks, ditches, curbs, and gutters in the Chesterfield Residency within the Richmond District. This service is intended to maintain public safety and infrastructure integrity.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, fuel, and any other incidentals necessary for the following tasks:

1. Leveling of concrete sidewalks around driveways and drop inlets.
2. Leveling of concrete ditches and curbs and gutters on an as-needed basis.
3. Concrete leveling will be achieved through motorized means by raising concrete using a slurry injection or lowering it through grinding methods.
4. The contractor must restore any disturbed areas to their original or similar appearance and ensure a clean worksite upon completion.
5. Traffic control must be provided according to the VA Work Area Protection Manual at no additional cost.
6. The contractor must have experienced personnel capable of performing tasks such as mud-jacking, slab-jacking, grinding, etc.
7. Slurry material used must be Gypsum, with quantities verified by a VDOT representative.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence from the date of award and will last for one year with an option for renewal.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Chesterfield, Powhatan, and Amelia Counties.
