Background
The Portsmouth Public Schools is seeking bids for the removal, furnishing, and installation of carpet on an as-needed basis.
The goal of this contract is to ensure that the school facilities maintain a high standard of flooring that meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Removal and disposal of all old carpet per square foot.
- Removal and disposal of all old tile per square foot.
- Provide and install Patcraft Get Up & Go carpet tiles or equivalent per square yard.
- Provide and install 4" Vinyl cove base (Johnsonite Traditional .080 or equal) in connection with carpet/tile installation per linear foot.
- Provide and install Tandus Powerbond Carpet or equal per square yard.
- Provide and install Patcraft Beyond the Door Ecoworks Performance Broadloom or equal per square yard.
- Provide and install reducer strip per linear foot.
- Labor costs for normal working hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) will be charged at a specified labor rate per man-hour for items not specifically covered in these line items.
- Labor costs for holidays and other than normal working hours will also be charged at a specified labor rate per man-hour.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed on an as-needed basis, with specific timelines to be determined based on the needs of Portsmouth Public Schools.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the facilities of Portsmouth Public Schools.
