Background
Campbell County Public Schools (CCPS) is seeking proposals from qualified Architectural and Engineering (A/E) firms to conduct a macro-level feasibility study for Altavista Combined School, a 6-12 facility originally built in 1952 and renovated multiple times since.
The school currently serves 550 students and has a total area of approximately 152,000 GSF. The goal of the study is to evaluate the existing infrastructure, identify renovation and adaptation strategies, and explore potential building additions to meet current and future academic needs.
Work Details
The selected firm will be responsible for:
- Conducting an assessment of the current building MEP infrastructure;
- Coordinating with key stakeholders to identify school needs;
- Developing conceptual design plans including site and floor plans with graphical renderings;
- Providing macro-level cost estimations for design solutions;
- Presenting findings to CCPS administration, the School Board, and community stakeholders.
All materials produced during this study will be owned by CCPS.
Period of Performance
The contract is intended to last for one year from the Notice to Proceed date, with potential renewals for up to three additional one-year terms based on mutual agreement.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Altavista Combined School located in Campbell County, Virginia.
Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be regularly engaged in providing architectural and engineering services. They must possess adequate resources to fulfill the requirements outlined in the RFP.
