UDOT RFP- NEMA Signal Cabinets

Background
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) TS-2 Type 1 Size 5, Size 6, and Size 6 Stretch traffic signal control modular cabinet assemblies. These cabinets are essential for the operation of signalized intersections across the state, adhering to UDOT's standards and specifications. The goal of this contract is to enhance traffic management and safety through the deployment of these advanced cabinet systems.

Work Details
Contractors are required to supply NEMA TS-2 Type 1 traffic signal control modular cabinets that include:
- Twelve dual-indication load switches
- One flasher
- Four flash transfer relays
- Seven synchronous data link control (SDLC) cables
- Two bus interface units (BIU)
- One plug-and-play detector rack and panel.

All cabinets must be compatible with Econolite Cobalt version 32.62+ and Intelight MaxTime version 1.82+ signal controllers. The cabinets should be constructed from type 5052-H32 aluminum with a minimum thickness of 0.125 inches, featuring a natural aluminum finish unless otherwise specified. Each cabinet must include specific configurations for wiring, shelving, and mounting to ensure functionality and ease of access for maintenance. Additionally, all field terminal wiring must be color-coded and independently labeled.

Period of Performance
The anticipated lead time for delivery of the traffic signal control cabinets is a maximum of 60 days from the time of order placement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed throughout the state of Utah, specifically at various locations where signalized intersections are managed by UDOT.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with UDOT's standards and specifications for traffic signal control cabinets. They must certify that they have not been debarred or suspended from participating in government contracts. Additionally, bidders should demonstrate their capability to meet the technical requirements outlined in the solicitation, including compliance with relevant federal and state laws.
