Summit Academy- Substitute Services

Background
Summit Academy, Inc. is a Local Education Agency (LEA) operating three campuses that serve students in grades K-12. The agency is seeking proposals to secure resources for substitute staffing, including licensed and non-licensed teachers, teacher aides, and long-term substitutes.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that Summit Academy can maintain educational continuity by providing qualified temporary staffing solutions.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to provide qualified temporary staffing for Summit Academy Schools, including:
1. Substitute Teachers (licensed and non-licensed) on a daily basis.
2. Substitute Teacher Aides on an hourly basis.
3. Long-term substitute teachers on a daily basis.

The contractor must pre-screen all employees to ensure they meet the requirements of Summit Academy Schools and provide a reporting system for tracking timekeeping and cost reports. Additionally, the contractor must conduct basic Utah Criminal History background checks for all temporary staff at no extra charge.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on November 17, 2025, and will last for 1.5 fiscal years until June 2027, with options for renewal into fiscal years 2028 and 2029.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Summit Academy's three campuses located in Draper and Bluffdale, Utah.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to do business in the State of Utah and capable of providing qualified staff with appropriate licenses and certifications. They must maintain sufficient insurance coverage including Workers’ Compensation Insurance and Commercial General Liability Insurance with specific coverage amounts outlined in the RFP.

Additionally, bidders are required to have a local office to manage operations effectively.
