Background
The Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) is initiating a complete software upgrade of its Electronic Video Information Display System (EVIDS) to enhance the management of flight information across various airport facilities.
The goal is to implement a high-availability, fully redundant software suite that will manage the ingestion, processing, and visual rendering of critical flight data across more than 700 endpoints, including terminals and operational centers.
Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive software solution that includes:
- High-availability and fully redundant software suite for EVIDS.
- Management of flight arrival and departure information, baggage handling, ramp, and gate assignments.
- Integration with existing systems such as Airport Operational Database (AODB) and airline host systems.
- Use of Samsung’s Tizen processors for display management.
- Implementation of a Maintenance Plan that includes 24/7 technical support and quarterly software health checks.
- Testing phases including component testing, integration testing, functionality testing, and endurance testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on June 15, 2026, with implementation and testing scheduled from June 15 to September 30, 2026.
