RFP - Social Emotional Learning Curriculum 9-12

Background
The Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD) is seeking proposals for a social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum for high school students in grades 9-12. This initiative aligns with the Board of Education's priority to enhance students' social, emotional, and academic learning. The district serves over 23,000 students, with a diverse population that includes 55% ethnic minorities and 61% economically disadvantaged students. The curriculum aims to foster essential SEL competencies such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive SEL curriculum that includes both online and hard copy materials. Key requirements include:
- Research-based content aligned with CASEL's five competencies.
- Short prepared lessons and discussion guides with accompanying multimedia resources.
- Training workshops for teachers and staff, with options for asynchronous learning.
- Materials suitable for all high school-aged students, including those from special populations like Special Education and English Language Learners (ELLs).
- A consistent program across all SLCSD high schools to ensure uniform instruction.
- Ability to translate materials into other languages, especially Spanish.
- Mechanisms for data collection on student progress and program effectiveness.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for seven years, with all materials required to be delivered by July 1, 2026.

Place of Performance
The curriculum will be implemented within the Salt Lake City School District schools located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must certify compliance with district student data privacy terms and conditions. They are required to submit product samples prior to the bid close date of December 23, 2025. Vendors must also be available for interviews or presentations during the week of February 9, 2026.
