Background
The Box Elder School District (BESD) is the 14th largest school district in Utah, serving approximately 12,284 students across 21 schools. The district aims to enhance its educational offerings by procuring a comprehensive World Language Spanish 1-5 Curriculum for grades 6-12. This initiative is part of BESD's commitment to providing evidence-based and researched curriculum materials that support social and emotional learning.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide an evidence-based World Language Spanish 1-5 Curriculum that includes the following requirements:

1. A comprehensive, standards-aligned curriculum for Spanish 1-5 and Chinese 1-2 courses, aligned with Utah World Languages Core Standards for Proficiency.

2. Online components that allow monitoring of student progress, teacher implementation, and family access to resources.

3. Lesson plan samples for K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 grade bands must be provided free of charge.

4. Compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Utah Anti-Boycott Israel Act is mandatory.

5. The curriculum must support differentiated learning materials for diverse student needs and include both formative and summative assessments to measure student progress in interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication modes.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for three years with an option for two additional one-year renewals, contingent upon mutual agreement between BESD and the vendor.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the Box Elder School District located in Brigham City, Utah.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must demonstrate compliance with mandatory minimum requirements including providing evidence-based curriculum, online components, lesson plan samples across various grade levels, FERPA compliance, and a certification regarding non-engagement in boycotts against Israel.
