NS26-129 Daggett School District - Audit Services

Background
Daggett School District, located in Manila, Utah, is seeking proposals from CPA firms to provide auditing services for the District’s basic financial statements starting with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
The district comprises three schools and employs approximately 40 full-time and 35 part-time employees, serving around 180 students.
The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with state regulations and provide a clear financial overview of the district's operations.

Work Details
The selected CPA firm will be responsible for:
1. Submitting an Independent Auditor’s Report by November 15 each year covering all funds of the District including General Fund, Food Services Fund, Capital Project Fund, Debt Service Fund, and Student Activity Fund.
2. Conducting audits that include visits to review financial transactions and controls at the three schools annually.
3. Providing a report of concerns found during audits to the Business Administrator.
4. Delivering adjusting entries by September 20 each year for the preparation of the Annual Financial Report (AFR) and Annual Program Report (APR).
5. Preparing a reporting package for the audit committee that includes a Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards and notes on compliance with auditing standards.
6. Assisting with various financial operations and providing advisory services on changes in GAAP.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence with audit work beginning July 1, 2026, and may extend for up to five years based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Daggett School District located at 196 West 2nd N, Manila, UT 84046.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be licensed to conduct business in Utah, comply with anti-discrimination laws, meet independence requirements as per AICPA standards, and fulfill continuing education requirements as outlined by Government Auditing Standards.
