Notice to Contractors - West High School Reimagined - Phase 1 - Capitol Campus Buildings

Background
Hughes General Contractors, acting as the Construction Manager General Contractor (CMGC) for the Salt Lake City School District, is soliciting bids for the West High School Rebuild – Phase 1 Capitol Campus Buildings Package. This project aims to enhance educational facilities by constructing a new multi-story academic building and a fieldhouse/athletics building, located east across 300 West from the existing school. The project is designed by VCBO Architecture.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Construction of a new multi-story academic building.
2. Construction of a new fieldhouse/athletics building.

Only work scopes included in CM/GC’s Bid Manual dated 1/6/2026 will be procured in this bid package. Previous bid packages have already covered certain site work such as excavation, utilities, ground improvements, and site demolition.

Period of Performance
The bidding schedule indicates that plans will be available starting from January 13, 2026, with a bid submission deadline on February 19, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at West High School located at 250 North 300 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be authorized to do business in Salt Lake City, Utah; possess all necessary contractor licensing, insurance, and bonding required for the work scope; agree to terms outlined in the prime contract and CM/GC’s Sample Master Subcontract Agreement; and submit timely responses to requests for additional information.
